Morphy Richards 240004 Aspect Stainless Steel Four Slice Toaster - Titanium

Lethal and illegal, do not buy

This item stopped working after 2 months. When I opened the plug to check the fuse I was horrified to find this (see photo). Instead of a fuse there is a piece of bent wire wrapped around the fuse terminals. It appears that as we have used the toaster the wire has heated up and finally warped enough to break the circuit. This item is dangerous, illegal and potentially lethal. I have contacted Morphy Richards who say it is Amazons responsibility and Amazon haven't bothered to reply. However, Trading Standards are interested.
