Good everyday use dinner set
I recently bought this dinner set (Actually I bought 2 sets, since I needmultiples of 8 places)as an alternative to my current everyday dinner set.I was getting bored with my current one and, for it's price it appeared tobe a good buy.
The upside: The set is verrry pretty and a greatreproduction of the original design. It is strong and does not chipeasily. The serving bowl and soup bowls are very convenient sizes. The lowprice is an added bonus.
The downside: The shade of blue of the design can vary from plate to plate- hence you may not want to use this to entertain. The bowls etc get VERYhot when used in the microwave for short periods of time like 2 or 4minutes. Hence even though the label says it is microwave safe, I amwary.
Overall however - it is a very soothing and beautiful design andit makes dining seem like an occasion!
