I was looking for a compact stand to go in a very small one-bedroom flat which would not look out of place in a sitting room. This stand avoids the overly complicated and ugly elevated shelving of some examples. It is ideal for a traditional tower computer and there is space enough for printer, router etc. The keyboard fits into the pull-out drawer which operates on runners giving a smooth action. The table top easily accommodates a flat screen monitor. The unit is constructed in veneered chipboard and comes well packaged. It is easy to assemble and there were exactly the right number of fasterners to complete the construction. The finished unit looks well. The only significant drawback is that the top and base corners are prone to damage and can be very easily chipped. I bought some cheap, clear plastic protective corners to avoid this problem. If the unit is to reside permanently in one position, the corners can be discarded post installation.
