This is described as rustic and it is. Rather too rustic. A previous reviewer treated the wood with beeswax. I used teak oil having previously sandpapered the top which was rough. This brings out the grain.The metal brackets are not well finished; the nail tops showing white. See also the bracket at the top right hind corner of the photograph. I painted the brackets with black Hammerite . The end result is very good. Perhaps the manufacturer might take note of these comments; even though the extra work involved might increase the price. Four stars only in view of my comments.
