Still a great kettle
I had to get a new kettle as my previous one suddenly stopped working - light came on but no heat. I had had it for about 12 years and i had been very happy with it up until then so decided to get the same one again - the de'longhi classic. Very little has changed with the product in this time - if it ain't broke don't fix it! The only quibble i would have is that the new feature of the water level indicator is not particularly useful as the level doesn't seem to be very accurate - the water makes curved level on the gauge rather than being horizontal if you see what I mean but I don't use this feature anyway. In response to other reviews I didn't have a problem with the lid being hard to get off - in fact it is a lot easier with this new one than the old one. Overall a great product - this new version seems quieter than my old one and faster to boil but it could be my imagination!
