This is a good bin, well designed! This is made particularly obvious to me because my old bin wasn't! For instance the lid of this bin doesn't open so far that it hits whatever is behind the bin. (In my case a very clangy radiator) It is also cunningly designed so that it status open if you open it by hand which makes it both practical for certain tasks and makes it easy to empty. The bin also stays permanently where I put it because the plastic ring does not slip about on lino. The white finish is fantastic and it really is fingerprint proof. Even the label which came stuck to the front of the bin was a specially chosen type which was easy to remove and does not leave a sticky mark! (It was so special that I kept it instead of throwing it away) The pedal mechanism is simple and robust which means that it is also simple to fix if it goes wrong. (Parts are readily available from Brabantia) And it is guaranteed for 10 years which is staggeringly good in this day and age of useless...
