I bought this IP camera for my sister for use as a baby camera, it has much more functionality than an off the shelve baby monitor and I particulary liked the pan / tilt facility that will come in really useful as baby gets older and starts moving around more. It was pretty easy to setup and connecting it to an iphone with the ‘Brilliant’ / adequate app made it ideal for quick and simple access. Controlling the camera from an Iphone is simple but there is a bit of lag when using pan / tilt. My sister has also added the app to her tablet so its on a bigger screen and It can be left on view when she gets on with house work.
Pro’s and Con’s aside the price point of this camera just makes it a fantastic buy for what you get and I’m sure there are loads more uses to be found beyond just a baby monitor.
