The design of course is classic. Mills are well made with thickly painted wood exteriors. The bodies actually look acrylic but looking inside its wood. The mechanisms are what make this product. The adjustments work perfectly in my cooking and you can compliment any recipe. You get what you pay for in this case. If you are not bothered by a non consistent grind you could probably go cheaper. I'm happy with the Peugot mills.
