This does help clothes dry quicker. Gets reasonably hot, but I can still touch it so it won't burn you.
I use it in my utility room and it kicks out enough heat to warm the room up to.
In my opinion it could have more than one heat setting as I would like it hotter at times, especially in damp weather.
